WRITE FROM THE HEART...

I have always had a passion to write. Mostly, fitting poetry and script writing in around my day job in the past, now I have closed my classroom door and I have the freedom to focus on my writing, in whatever form it takes. Writing is a powerful way to make connections with others and to start a conversation.
I find inspiration from my everyday and write with honesty and a touch of humor about the subjects that effect us all, building my self-confidence as I go. My books and blog continue to strike a chord with readers and I am learning and growing as I write my way through midlife.

POETRY FOR ALL...

Other books...

Poetry may be my first love, but I am proud to include an historical fiction novella and a memoir among my achievements. This page gives an outline of these titles.

UNRAVELLING

After a year in the making, my first novella is now out - I'm very excited to share it with you. Unravelling - A tale of strength, love and dementia.

I have used my experience of losing a close relative to dementia as a backdrop to my writing. Drawing upon this, I bring the characters to life in this heartwarming historical fiction. Early reviews commend the story as "Beautifully written" and "A very good read."

Check out my bookshelf for more details.

FINDING MY WAY

May 26, 2019

This book marks my first steps as an author. Join me through moments of angst to zen as this account of personal discovery depicts my journey through motherhood, midlife and menopause. This commentary on life as a middle-aged woman in the 21st century reflects upon the many roles I juggle as a wife, mother and career woman whilst exploring my self-confidence and mental health issues. I invite you to share in this 'no holds barred' look at modern life and perhaps, like me, find a little comfort and some sass in your steps along the way.

FINDING MY WAY

A woman of a certain age telling it like it is. This book will connect with a lot of people who will sit and nod, just like me.

UNRAVELLING

The characters are well-drawn, and the story of the grandmother's life is vivid and told with real feeling.

A heart-warming story.
